Items from the Metamorphosis CU29 series turn fashion into living pieces: over time, a gradual colour shift along the scarf’s golden edge transforms it into a luminous turquoise green. This natural process forms the characteristic copper patina (a blend of copper sulfate and copper carbonate) which is non-toxic, prevents further oxidation, and inhibits fungal growth. The transformation remains limited to the scarf’s thin edge, symbolizing the project’s art-and-science framework while preserving the scarf’s overall aesthetic.

Material:
Core layer: 18% silver coated in copper, 82% organic cotton
High-tech fabric developed and produced in Switzerland. Its EMF-shielding performance is globally unmatched, blocking up to 99.9999% of electromagnetic radiation. Certified by OEKO-TEX and free from harmful substances.

Outer layers: Tencel twill (100% eucalyptus fiber)
In our search for a locally produced natural textile layer to enclose the high-tech core, we found Tencel, a sustainable viscose fiber made from eucalyptus wood. Grown without artificial irrigation or pesticides, it requires 90% less water than cotton. The fabric is very soft with a silky touch, exceptionally breathable, and naturally regulates temperature, providing comfort in any climate.

Crafting: 
Made with ecological materials sourced locally. Each piece is designed by the el Patrol art collective and crafted by a small team of women who once worked in the textile industry before production moved overseas. In their own small atelier, they preserve a heritage of skill that has become rare in Europe today. Each item is individually made and may vary slightly from the product images. Every piece is manually inspected for functionality.

Series:
We produce in small series and each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artists. This piece belongs to the METAMORPHOSIS CU29 series 01.

Care instructions:
Gently machine wash at 30°C. Do not tumble dry, dry clean, or use aggressive detergents. Iron without steam and let cool before folding to preserve the integrity of the fine silver and copper threads.
