Art & Fashion

It is fashion. It is art.
SUIRIS is not an ordinary fashion label. Each item is certified as an original piece by el Patrol, originating from the long-term conceptual multimedia art project SUIRIS. It is highly recommended to store the certificate carefully and keep the piece even after years of use. The certificate will indicate the number of the series your piece belongs to.

Fashion as means of communication
Fashion and art are intertwined in a long history of mutual influence. In particular, the fashion world uses art as a source of inspiration and socio-cultural reference. But what happens when art, in turn, uses fashion to convey a message to the world?

SUIRIS creates a futuristic, postmodern vision in which humans are deeply connected to nature and yet unfold their full potential with the help of technology. Wearing SUIRIS is not a message of being afraid, but a message of leading an informed and conscious life.

The symbolic power of the headscarf

In Switzerland, no item of clothing has sparked as much unpleasant political debate in recent decades as the headscarf.

SUIRIS seeks to free the scarf from its political weight and return it to its origins — a garment worn by all genders, across cultures and religions. As a timeless element of the wardrobe, the scarf is one of the most versatile and functional garments, traditionally offering protection against wind, dust, sun, and cold.

We extend this protective role to include shielding the brain from electromagnetic radiation. Crafted from a luxurious high-tech fabric, the SUIRIS scarf becomes an effective companion for moments when you need a pause from the noise around you.

Art makes fashion
Under the brand SUIRIS, the artists Tito Lee and Zoé Fa have established their own fashion label, built on years of research into protective textiles and their optimal use in clothing. Their work culminates in a minimalist yet distinctive aesthetic.

In pieces such as Metamorphosis CU29, the artistic foundation of the project becomes visible. All SUIRIS scarves contain a high-tech core material: woven from real silver wires, coated with copper and embedded in organic cotton. This silver-copper yarn makes up 18% of the textile, a feature the artists chose to highlight visibly in the Metamorphosis CU209 series. A metallic piping cord is integrated along the edge of the scarf, touching the copper coating through the seam. Over time, this contact triggers a natural patina, gradually transforming the piping into a luminous green. The resulting blend of copper sulfate and copper carbonate is non-toxic, prevents further oxidation, and is antifungal.

Each scarf thus undergoes a slow, visible transformation — a true metamorphosis that lends the piece its name.
